What sort of ‘justice system allows Vince Siemer to be jailed THREE times – when he has never broken any law?

What sort of ‘justice system’ allows someone to be jailed, bankrupted and denied their ‘day in Court’ to defend underpinning defamation allegations?

What sort of ‘justice system’ makes it unlawful to tell the truth?

What sort of ‘justice system’ denies a ‘fair hearing’, by DEBARRING a defendant from defending themself?

THE NEW ZEALAND ‘JUSTICE SYSTEM’ in ‘the least corrupt country in the world’.

Was there a Parliamentary cover-up, involving the Solicitor-General, in ruling this petition 2005/142 ‘subjudice’ at a time it was not? Thus stopping the process of calling for a Parliamentary inquiry into the jailing of Vince Siemer in July 2007?

“The Justice and Electoral Committee has considered the Petition 2005/142 of Penelope Bright and 30 others, requesting that Parliament conduct an inquiry into the committal for imprisonment of Mr Vincent Siemer for contempt of court.
Standing Orders provide rules against committees considering matters that are sub judice (awaiting adjudication in a court of record), and this means that we are unable to consider this petition further.
We have no matters to bring to the attention of the House.

(At the time, the matter was NOT ‘subjudice’. The Judge had made her decision, and Vince Siemer was in jail. Lockwood Smith KNOWS this.)

Have you advised the Attorney-General Chris Finlayson, to ‘act in the public interest’, as is his primary role, and instruct the Solicitor-General, David Collins QC, to take whatever steps are necessary to have Vince Siemer released FORTHWITH?

Dear Prime Minister
John Key

In upholding the underpinning principles of ‘open, transparent and democratically accountable government’:

1) Please provide all/any information which confirms Michael Stiassny’s involvement, (if any), at any time, in any capacity, in fundraising for, or donating to, either yourself, any National Party MP(s), or the NZ National Party.

2) Please provide information (if any) of the amounts involved, on an annual basis, and to whom they were paid.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THIS OIA REQUEST:

(You will no doubt be pleased to know Vince Siemer is no longer locked up in ‘solitary confinement’, with no mattress, and a card board box for a toilet, as he was for FOUR days, although he has never broken any LAW.)

Late Friday afternoon, 2 July 2010, Judge Allan dismissed Vince Siemer’s ‘Writ of Habeas Corpus Application’.

[54] In my judgment, Mr Siemer‘s application for a writ of habeas corpus amounts to an abuse of process.

In my considered opinion, it is the Solicitor-General who has abused his power, authority and lawful due process by initiating these proceedings with the very clear aim of shutting up Vince Siemer and shutting down his websites.

What is an 'abuse of process' is the fact that Vince Siemer is now in prison for the third time, although he has broken no law, and that he was debarred from defending himself in the defamation case that Michael Stiassny lodged against him, which resulted in the largest ever defamation award in New Zealand.

How is that a 'fair trial' if the defendant is 'debarred' from defending themselves?

Isn't it 'Basic Justice 101' – that there are always TWO sides to the story, and that both sides should get to put their side in Court?

Isn't the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, another key element of Basic Justice 101?

At the time of J Ellen France's original 'gagging injunction' the defamation allegation was UNPROVEN, because the defamation case had yet to be heard.

When the defamation case was FINALLY heard, Vince Siemer was debarred from defending himself.

HOW BAD IS THAT???

Vince Siemer is, in my opinion, the leading 'Public Watchdog' exposing judicial corruption and the lack of transparency in NZ Courts.
No wonder they want to close down www.kiwisfirst.co.nz and shut Vince up!

Is it because Michael Stiassny has friend in VERY high places that his interests are being protected while Vince Siemer is suffering all these human rights violations???

A complaint has been filed with the Corrections Department about’ the cruel and unusual punishment Mr Siemer is being exposed to’.

1. he is being kept in isolation, without any explanation why;
2. he is being made to sleep on the floor;
3. the cell is not heated;
4. he has no toilet facilities other than a cardboard box.

He is now on both a hunger and liquid strike, but the only tests done on him routinely are blood pressure and urine analysis. Under the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations 1963, I have courtesy copied the United States consular officials in this document. I urge you to urgently advise me forthwith what the New Zealand government intends to do about the cruel and unusual punishment Mr Siemer is being exposed to. I also demand the right to visit him and inspect his living conditions without advanced notice. I look forward to hearing from you.

It has been hailed as a great night of Israel celebration in New Zealand. A combination of humour, political statement, classical music, quality food with Israeli flavours and high emotion merged in to a slick presentation provided the 280 dignitaries and guests with an unforgettable experience.

The joint Masters of Ceremony Nathan Lawrence and Rachel Korpus introduced the evening to the “typical Israeli” with humour and photo collage. The Hon Shane Jones then entertained the crowd with his own experiences of Israel and imparted the New Zealand Governments support for a two-state solution.

Ambassador of Israel Yuval Rotem impressed the event with his clarity of Israel’s position on current issues affecting the Jewish Nation and also Israel’s determination to not remain silent in the face of new threats of genocide just 65 years following the Holocaust.

The highlight of the night was the presentation of the Righteous Among Nations award from Yad Vashem to Hermina Van Der Schaaf of Christchurch and the late Pieter Van der Schaff. The ceremony included Ambassador, The Hon Winnie Laban and Holocaust survivor Mr Robert Narev. The Van der Schaafs have been honoured by Israel for their bravery in hiding Jews from the Nazi’s on their rural property in Holland during the Holocaust. The crowd was on its feet for the entire ceremony and tears were not uncommon especially when eighty-nine year old Mrs Van der Schaaf approached the lectern to deliver her own address.

The rousing delivery of classical music by Helen Medlyn during the main course again stirred the emotions, no more so when Yershalayim Shel Zahav rang out to projections of Jerusalem at night and a chorus that had the room singing along.

Key Note Speaker the Hon. Alexander Downer made a huge impression on everyone. Mr Downers experience in Foreign Affairs and his desire for practical solutions to problems was well received. Mr Downer impressed that whilst dreams of ideal solutions are nice to have, that the world is a tough place, and foreign affairs must seek solutions to conflict based on realities. Mr. Downer questioned why much of the world is suggesting that Israel should negotiate with Hamas and Hizbollah. “How do you negotiate with people whose sole objective it is to destroy you? What do you have to negotiate with?”

Mr Downer also stated his inability to comprehend how the UN could even suggest that a security barrier could be illegal when it protected the lives of a democratic nations population from suicide bombers. “Why does Israel have to justify defence of itself and its population”.

As reflected by the vote of thanks from Leader of the Opposition, John Key, Mr Downer’s message had the heads of many dignitaries and local community members alike nodding in unison. This was surely the most knowledgeable and stimulating addresses made within the realms of the Jewish Community.
