STOP THE $UPERCITY UPDATE! REQUEST FOR SPEAKING RIGHTS AT AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL MEETING THURSDAY 25 MARCH 2010 – TOWN HALL 6PM
24 March 2010
Successful first-ever demonstration outside the offices of the ATA (Association of Treacherous Aucklanders), at 103 Carlton Gore Rd, Newmarket, on International World Water Day
22 March 2010.
A BIG thank you for those who were able to attend!
(Photos should be up on our website soon!)
ATTACHED is the WPG PRESS RELEASE of 22 March 2010 – explaining why we were there!
Lisa Prager and myself have applied for speaking rights at the Auckland City Council meeting to be held in the Auckland Town Hall:
WHEN: Thursday 25 March 2010
TIME: 6pm (The ‘Deputations’ part of the Agenda should be over by 6.30pm)
Although ‘speaking rights’ have not yet been confirmed, we anticipate that our democratic rights will be respected, and that Mayor John Banks will grant them.
If not – we will be taking them – as the matters we intend to raise are indeed ‘URGENT’ and of significant ‘PUBLIC INTEREST’ – particularly in relation to the undemocratic, untested (for ‘cost-effectiveness’ ) – CCO’ model.
(Please note that EVIDENCE confirming the lack of ‘due diligence’ by the ‘statutory third party ‘Public Watchdogs’ and elected representatives on the matter of the proven ‘cost-effectiveness’ of the CCO model is here in this email.)
Please be there if you can!
